Day 1
ARRIVAL TO SÄO MIGUEL
Once you touch down in São Miguel your Azores adventure begins! We’ll kick things off by discovering some of the best food in Portugal on a 3h foodie walking tour through Ponta Delgada, the main city of the Azores islands. You’ll sample unique and delicious foods, while learning about the local traditions, culture, and gastronomy, as you walk through charming cobblestone streets.
Day 2
4X4 FURNAS
Furnas is one of the most famous spots on the island of São Miguel with a history of volcanic activity that has left a legacy of particularly impressive natural geysers, hot springs, calderas and fumaroles! The Furnas lake and its geysers are surrounded by lush nature, form a picture. Lunch will be served at a traditional restaurant where you can try the famous "cozido" which is cooked by the heat of one of the Furnas fumaroles! On this route we will also visit a number of locations with stunning landscapes and unique and intriguing features, such as Vila Franca do Campo, where you can see the famous islet, a tea factory and there will be time to admire the breathtaking views from many viewpoints.
Day 3
WHALE WATCHING
Today you will enjoy an exciting marine wildlife experience with a local biologist to see and learn more about whales, dolphins, turtles and fish, of the Azores Islands! This day is a deep dive into the awesome biodiversity of the island. Marine wildlife can be observed yearlong. Sperm whales are resident alongside 3 additional cetacean species and an abundant marine biodiversity.
Day 4
RELAXING DAY
For your last day on the Azores Islands, relax at the beach, read a book, visit one of the Islands incredible hot springs and take in one more day of paradise. We will provide a private transfer to the airport for your flight back to the mainland.
