Day 1

BARCELONA FOOD AND WINE TOUR

Today’s food and wine tour is all about decoding Barcelona using its great bars and restaurants. You will learn about Barcelona’s gastronomy, history, and strong cultural identity while you eat and drink your way around its charming streets. You will be led to the four principle neighborhoods of Barcelona (l'Eixample, el Raval, el Gotico and el Born) with a local expert and learn all about the colorful history and cultural nuances of Barcelona and the region of Catalonia. We’ll visit local establishments for tasty gourmet dishes and a wide variety of wines from around Spain and Catalunya.

Day 2
ALELLA AND VERMUT DAY

Today we’ll begin our day in the neighboring town of Alella, just a short drive up the coast. There we’ll have a tour of one of the best wine producers in the region, where you’ll learn about the natural park where the winery makes its home, followed by a complete tasting afterwards. Afterwards, we will continue our day with a visit to the charming town center and have a vermouth and tapas in one of the town’s most famous bodegas. Your guide will teach you the ins and outs of Spain’s famous “vermouth hour” and the regional tapas that are part of the experience, followed by a leisurely 3-course meal at a local restaurant.

CATALAN WINE TASTING WITH FOOD PAIRING

This day is designed for foodies, with a wine tasting and pairing experience to remember. We spend the afternoon in an exclusive venue in Barcelona, where you’ll get the chance to learn about Catalan wines and the local denominations of origin from a fun and dynamic sommelier. You’ll also be taught some of the best food pairings to match with local wines, an indulgence not to be missed!

Day 4
MEET THE WINEMAKERS OF PRIORAT

Today we’ll visit the Priorat region starting in the town of Scala Dei, where we’ll learn the history of winemaking in the region. Afterwards, we’ll visit a local wine cellar for a tour of the winemaking facilities and a tasting of some of the best reds in Catalunya. After that, we will head to another cellar where we will be treated to a beautiful 3-course lunch on the terrace. After lunch, we will have the chance to talk a stroll through the small village of Gratallops, and stop into another local cellar for a visit and tasting.
