Prepare yourself for a trip that will nurture mind, body, and spirit with a crash course in the local culture of Spain’s Catalonia province. Here is the perfect travel mix of wellness, adventure, and fun. Take in the beautiful vistas, enjoy tours with expert guides, and gain insights from an in-house yogi on a trip where wellness and travel meet to form a perfect combination of wellbeing and leisure. This six-day retreat is ideal for those who want to return home from a trip having explored their inner self as much as their new destination.
Today we’ll start early with an e-bike tour of Barcelona city with an informative and entertaining local guide. This cultural biking itinerary is a full-on, active experience with a relaxed but consistent pace. You'll see and experience all of the key plazas, back alleys, markets, the Cathedral and other monuments of the old quarter, have an exterior visit of Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia, and stop at beautiful view points and places of cultural interest throughout the bustling city. Our tour will end with a stop in the Montjuic botanical gardens where we’ll park our bikes and start our grounding vinyasa flow practice. From there, we’ll return our bikes and head to a great restaurant for a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll have some free time with the option of a private session with a knowledgeable nutritionist who will help you with an evaluation and personalized plan. We’ll all come back together again for a pre-dinner chilled-out yoga session before we head to dinner.
After checking out of our hotel, we’ll meet our private driver and expert guide to start our journey to Montserrat. Rising up over the Penedès, Montserrat is a place of great importance in Catalan culture. Here, we’ll go for a scenic walk and take in the beautiful scenery. At a peaceful spot, we’ll do a 5 senses mindfulness meditation. From there, we’ll head out for a traditional Catalan lunch followed by a visit at a winery in the nearby Penedes before checking into our accommodation. After dinner cooked by a private chef, we’ll finish the day with some relaxation yoga.
Today we’ll come together for a fun, interactive yoga session followed by our closing activity to reflect on our journey and the experiences we’ve shared. We’ll pack our bags and say farewell as we each head to the Barcelona Airport.
We'll meet in the afternoon for a welcome session in Barcelona. After check in, we’ll start with a quick overview of what we’ll be doing over the course of the retreat and some fun orientation activities to get to know your fellow retreat friends. Our first night then kicks off with a great evening food and wine tour that's all about decoding Barcelona using its great bars and restaurants. You'll learn about Barcelona’s gastronomy, history and a strong cultural identity while you eat and drink your way around its small charming streets and soak it in firsthand. After the tour, get some rest back at your hotel. Tomorrow our work begins!
Our morning will start with a dynamic yoga session at a location close to our accommodation. Then you’ll have some time to explore the city on your own and explore different monuments of the city. Take your time strolling through the winding streets of the old quarter, pick up some great new finds at boutique shops, and stop for lunch along your way. We’ll head towards the port in the mid-afternoon to start our private sunset sailing adventure along the coast of the city. Sit back and soak in hues of pink, purple and blue as we glide gently through the water. We’ll dock in a great, central location where you can head out to dinner on your own.
Wake up to the beautiful surroundings of the Penedès. We’ll begin our day by heading to the starting point of a hike with stunning views. After some rigorous activity, we’ll settle in to a peaceful outdoor spot for a yoga session that connects us to the beautiful scenery around us. Lunch will be served at a nearby restaurant where we’ll enjoy a pairing of local wines. Upon arrival at our accommodation, we’ll have pre-dinner yoga and meditation session. Then we’ll prepare dinner together with an expert chef and nutritionist to share on our last night together.
