Holiday Trip to Spain and Portugal
Last winter we planned a holiday trip for two families with kids who wanted to spend two weeks during the winter holidays in Spain and Portugal. We helped them to find ways to observe their special family holiday moments while experiencing the magic of the holidays in the Iberian Peninsula.
They started in Madrid right after Christmas with city tours to enjoy the sites with the magical lights and holiday decorations with day trips to Toledo and the famous windmills of La Mancha. Then it was off on the high-speed train to Seville and several days including New Year’s Eve to take in the special flavor of the holidays in Andalucia.
A flight from Seville to Lisbon started the Portugal leg of this holiday trip and several day trips to explore the history, culture, and natural beauty of the surrounding area before heading home.
Celebrating Passover in Barcelona
A large extended family asked us to plan a trip over Passover that included not only the highlights of Barcelona and the nearby region but also its unique Jewish history in a way
that could be appreciated by travellers from ages 3 – 82!
Our plan for them included a special seder dinner in the old Jewish quarter of Barcelona, a day trip to the city of Girona and its renowned Jewish Museum, and a small mountain village with the preserved remains of a vital Jewish settlement during the Middle Ages. We included tours of the City by private drive for the older family members and by bike for the active family members, full-day and sunset sailing trips on the Mediterranean and a beautiful hike on the Costa Brava. There was something for everyone.
A Surprise Engagement Trip in Portugal and Morocco
One of our clients wanted to plan a very special marriage proposal trip and beach escape for his soon-to-be-fiance. We proposed that the trip start in Lisbon before heading south to the Algarve to our favorite beach resort in Portugal. Then it was off by ferry to Tangier for several days in Morocco and a special glamping site for a proposal. She said Yes!
