SAMPLE ITINERARY

DAY 1

BARCELONA CULTURAL ORIENTATION

Today’s food and wine tour is all about decoding Barcelona using its great bars and restaurants. You will learn about Barcelona’s gastronomy, history, and strong cultural identity while you eat and drink your way around its charming streets. You will be led to the four principle neighborhoods of Barcelona (l'Eixample, el Raval, el Gotico and el Born) with a local expert and learn all about the colorful history and cultural nuances of Barcelona and the region of Catalonia. We’ll visit local establishments for tasty gourmet dishes and a wide variety of wines from around Spain and Catalunya.

DAY 2

4HR BARCELONA CITY HIGHLIGHTS

In this immersive Barcelona city tour, you’ll delve deeper into the various corners of the city, hitting some of the major highlights of Catalan architecture and culture. From Gaudi’s masterpieces like Sagrada Familia, and Casa Batlló, to other modernist masterpieces in the city like the Palau de la Música, you will learn all about the unique vision that sets this Catalan city apart.

DAY 3

ALELLA & VERMUT

Today we’ll visit Alella, just a short drive up the coast. There we’ll have a tour of one of the best wine producers in the region, where you’ll learn about the natural park where the winery makes its home, followed by a complete tasting. Afterwards, we will continue our day with a visit to the charming town center and have a vermouth with tapas in one of the town’s most famous bodegas. Your guide will teach you the ins and outs of Spain’s famous “vermouth hour” and the regional tapas that are part of the experience, followed by a leisurely 3-course meal at a local restaurant.

DAY 4

FREE DAY

There’s nothing better than a day on your own to really get to know a city. Explore the hidden corners and leafy plazas you might have only glimpsed in your earlier tours, or spend the day at the beach soaking up the city’s distinct Mediterranean vibe. There’s always a tour of Gaudi’s Park Güell or the Barça stadium, Camp Nou, to do and of course, many hours to be had shopping for souvenirs in the charming boutiques lining the city’s narrow streets. Our guide has plenty of recommendations to keep you entertained on your final day in our beautiful city.
